Dr Justin Booyse is a highly experienced anaesthetist with a special interest in perioperative medicine and regional anaesthesia. With a career spanning multiple countries, he brings a broad depth of expertise in managing patients throughout their surgical journey, ensuring safe and effective anaesthesia tailored to individual needs.

Dr Booyse obtained his primary medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 1995 before pursuing specialist anaesthetic training. He became a Fellow of the College of Anaesthetists which is part of the College of Medicine South Africa (FCA CMSA) in 2004. He later earned Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2012.

His career has taken him across South Africa, Namibia, the UK, and New Zealand, where he worked as a Senior Medical Officer and Anaesthetist in various hospital settings. Since 2011, he has been practising in Australia, contributing his expertise to both public and private healthcare systems.

Drawn to anaesthesia for its challenges and wide scope of practice, Dr Booyse values the highly skilled, team-based environment of his role. He takes particular satisfaction in working alongside colleagues to provide optimal care and improve patient outcomes.
